Welcome to our introduction thread! This is an opportunity for new users or those who are returning after a long hiatus, to introduce themselves to other members of the community, so we can get to know you better (or again). It's a great way to break the ice, and meet other likeminded people. Before you do though, be sure to check out the Communtiy Rules.
Allow me the opportunity to start this off!
My name is Darren, I am the editor of Johto Times, a project which launched in February 2023, with the goal of documenting and preserving the early history of Pokémon and its fan community. Today, we launched our forum, and I am anxious yet excited to see if it takes off! I have a lot of different hobbies and interests, including video games, photography, singing, and taking long walks in the countryside.
In terms of Pokémon, I was first exposed to it in 1999, when the series first arrived here in the United Kingdom. My first Pokémon game was Pokémon Blue, but I adored Pokémon Crystal so much more! I have a deep appreciation for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, when I played it for the first time in 2020. My favourite Pokémon is Rowlet.
