I'm using Feraligatr, Delphox, Starmie, Ampharos, Pyroar and Tyrantrum. In XY I used Aurorus in my team as the fossil pick, so I wanted to pick the opposite version this time. I picked Starmie because it has a new mega evolution, and Ampharos because I've never used Ampharos in my teams before and it also has a useful mega. In XY I thought I used Pyroar in my team so I looked it up, and it looks like I didn't, maybe I used Talonflame instead in XY. So I decided it would be good to use here. My favorite starter pick in this game was Totodile, and even though I used it in SoulSilver I didn't have any interest in picking Chikorita or Tepig. And Delphox, even though I used it as my starter in XY I really wanted to pick it again. Luckily I got a female Totodile after 2 tries, and my first Fennekin was also female but I heard the quest that gives you Fennekin has a locked gender.
