Hey, I'm ICanSnake. I go by many names but you can call me Snake. I was a spinoff kid growing up so I never played the mainline games until FRLG. My thought process was I don't like single player games, I wanted multiplayer games like Stadium so I could play with my neighbors.
My favorite Pokemon is Lugia and my favorite game is XD: Gale of Darkness.
I started visiting online forums for Pokemon in 2007, which is how I learned about competitive battling through Netbattle and Shoddy Battle. I've been with many online trading communities through the years, namely event collecting communities. My first event was TRU Manaphy in 2007, but it would have been Party of the Decade the year before if my parents allowed me to go on the bus. I lost my Diamond cartridge in 2008, so with Pearl and Platinum I started trading for worldwide events.
I love events and shinies, so I've collected as much as I can. Nowadays I'm a researcher for events, mainly the distribution of events, the people who attended events, and their experiences. My research is focused on Japanese and American gen 3 and 4 events and my research is hosted on a friend's site PokemonHistorian. We catalog a lot of details about underreported or unknown events.
