Which Pokémon are you?

If you were a Pokémon, which species do you think you'd be? Which one speaks to your soul? And have you ever thought about which Pokémon species your family members would be as well?

I think I'd probably be a Gardevoir (hence the user icon). I can totally see my 10-year-old niece as a Galarian Ponyta (she loves those). My 7-year-old niece really gives me Tinkatuff vibes, because she's small yet mighty (and pink is her favorite color), and her 2-year-old sister is probably a Totodile because she's very energetic and doesn't quite understand yet how to play nicely with others. Also she bit her sister the other day.

I think if I were a Pokémon, it would be one that is quiet and reserved, and isn't going to make a big scene. Johto Times's mascot is Natu, which might be a good fit. He's a smol bird who hangs around in the Ruins of Alph, and I do like history after all!

I've used Butterfree to represent myself since some of my first communications with other Pokémon fans online. When I first signed a guestbook on my favorite fansite I used my real name, but then decided I should use the name of a Pokémon as an alias; my favorites were Charizard and Butterfree, but I suspected everyone would think I was a boy if I called myself Charizard, so I went with Butterfree. By now I've been using it as an alias for so long it's become the Pokémon I identify myself with, even if it wasn't originally based on sharing any traits with it or anything!

Though I did once (in 2005 or so) create a 'Pokésona' called Scythizard, which looked like this:

growing up, i had a number of pokesonas - eevee, deerling, togetic/wingull fusion - but after figuring out my brain soup a year and a half ago, i figured out the perfect options for me! zigzagoon for one half, hisuian typhlosion for the other. other runner ups for the latter would be appletun and smeargle. but zigzagoon for the first half felt like a given, somehow.

Absolutely love this question!

While people probably assume I'd be Mareep or Wooloo, I actually have a stronger personal connection to Pikachu, Emolga, and Minccino. Pikachu has been an important part of my childhood since I first got into the series. As a kid I used to dream about being one, and part of that stuck as I grew older. Maybe a little embarrassing to admit, but I won't shy away from it! It looks like it'd be really fun!

Emolga and Minccino are just similarly cute and huggable. I'd probably be someone that loves running around jumping a lot, so the sheep Pokémon are less nimble and easy in that regard. :')

Bluwiikoon

I am pretty much always represented by a Nosepass at this point xD I think it does share some aspects with me, like being shy (Hoenn Nosepass are pretty rare and only in one cave!), presumably being sensitive to strong smells, and liking flowers (it shows up near flowers in XY and in the HGSS safari zone).

Other pokesonas I have had in the past are Latios and Suicune - in fact, the username Bluwiikoon comes from a phonetic spelling of Suicune (Suwiikoon). I think, perhaps, these two legendaries are a bit too stoic and cool to be representative of me.

If I were to pick a non-Nosepass fave to represent me... maybe Cyndaquil, since its pokedex entries directly reference it being timid. ;o;

I always associate myself with psychic types, and I think my quirkiness matches it.
