Hello everyone, and thanks for your feedback so far! I want you to know that i'm reading everything you're sharing, and the hope was to address it all in a few days, but I thought I would attempt to tackle what has been shared already. Ultimately, the forum is still quite new, and we are still working on things in the background and introducing things if it is possible to do so.
We are using Flarum for our software, which is about to release a 2.0 version. We are concerned that adding too many add-ons to v1.8, they may not be compatible with v2.0 when it finally launches. This is why we have been hesitant to add too many. With that in mind, I will tackle the feedback so far:

I believe this is possible after you have made a post, or are replying to a post. I will research this and see what can be done!
KomodoZero I feel a general board would be good, something where small discussions on non-Pokemon topics can happen.
A General board is something I have deliberately ignored for now, my hope is to keep the conversation focused on Pokémon, at least for now. General Discussion may be a magnet for spam, so we need to carefully consider this. However, it is something I am keen to include in the future. I have just today added a General Pokémon board, which I hope will satisfy you and others for other types of Pokémon related discussion!
tkarispe I'm wondering if maybe there's a way to give more personalization to user profiles and posts
I have been discussing this too, as much as I like a clean and responsive forum, I do think a bit of personalisation would be a good thing. I am aware of an add-on which allows users to change their profile banners, and I would personally like for users to have a signiature so they may add some custom personalisation. I have yet to look into such an add-on, but I will add it to the list!

I would like this to be implemented, it just wasn't a priority for our soft launch! It will be something to look into later.

This was a deliberate choice. The forum allows us to choose whether a user can edit their post up to ten minutes after posting, or until another user makes a post. There is also an option to allow edits indefinitely, but for a couple of reasons, mostly for preservation sakes and to reduce the risk of it being exploited, we have chosen to restrict this. However, I am happy to see how things go and consider whether this needs to be changed or not.
Update: I have just changed this setting so users can make edits until another person posts. This should also help with any double posting. Let me know how this works out for you!
Regnum Regarding the images you can add to posts/replies, I feel like they may take too much space
I understand this, especially my pictures! They definitely take up a lot of space. There is very likely some kind of add-on which will allow them to be embedded as thumbnails, but I haven't looked into this yet. It has been noted!
Regnum I was also thinking that being able to create a poll in a post could be a cool addition
Polls would be great! Again, it could be another add-on and as mentioned, we have to carefully consider how many we plan to add, as things may break when we move over to Flarum v2.0 in the future.
