Oh, I'm excited for this. I love a good old-fashioned Pokémon fight, and I've been hoping for a dedicated battling game that connects to Home for a long time. Something to really fly in the face of Dexit, y'know? I've never been fond of my options for battling other people being limited by the latest regional dex. And the implication is that Z-Moves and Dynamax are being brought back alongside Mega Evolution and Terastallization, which I just think is awesome. My old Extreme Evoboost Eevee gets to come out of retirement!
Also, I like that this will give me somewhere to put my battle-ready Pokémon that won't take up valuable box space elsewhere that I might want for other purposes, because as it stands right now, I have a lot of EV-trained Pokémon.
In Scarlet, I have:
- 18 full boxes of various EV-trained Pokémon
- 2 boxes for all my Mightiest Mark Pokémon, all of which I've EV trained. One of each, plus two Mew that I used to take on the 7-star Mewtwo raid. I also did the Eevee one twice, so I have both Flareon and Umbreon, and I also did the Porygon2 one twice, so I have both Porygon2 and Porygon-Z.
- 1 box for my collection of EV-trained Vivillon, one of each pattern.
- 3 boxes for my collection of EV-trained Alcremie, one for every possible permutation of cream type and sweet accessory.
- 1 box for my collection of EV-trained Weezing, which includes every possible permutation of origin mark and Weezing form.
I also have 7 more boxes in Home devoted to the EV-trained Pokémon I can't move into Scarlet.
