Over the years I have accumulated a fair number of Pokémon items, many of which I have held onto from childhood, and thanks to this project, I have obtained many more! It would take me far too long to share all of them, so I thought i'd share five of my absolute favourites here with you (and more in the future)

Pocket Pikachu Color
My Pocket Pikachu Color is something I purchased pre-owned around 2001 from my local Gamestation store so I could connect it to Pokémon Crystal. This device went everywhere with me for at least a couple of years when I was in my mid teens. I was quite an active kid, so I would run around everywhere playing with my friends, sometimes getting around 25,000 or even 30,000 steps per day! These days the capacitor inside is starting to fail, but I will never part with it, due to all the happy memories I have made with it!

Pokémon Red & Green Complete Sound CD
I have always been a huge fan of video game music, and own a large collection of physical albums from many different games, including Pokémon. This one in particular is incredibly special to me, since the first generation of games were a huge inspiration to me. I had a friend in Japan which purchased this from an auction many years ago, and shipped it to me.

Pokémon Tazos
These circular discs were found inside packets of potato chips here in the UK, but were popular in many different countries during the early 2000s. Pokémon was just one of several brands which got the Tazo treatment, and two sets were released in total. The first set were regular images, but the second set were "moving" Tazos which displayed a different image if you tilted them. I have both sets completed, but it wasn't until 2019 when I finally obtained the remaining Tazos.

Pokémon Plush Toys
I have quite a few Pokémon plush toys, although many of these are stored in a large bag these days. When I was in my teens, I would hide these around my house and have my nephew and niece attempt to find them. I have a lot of good memories playing like this with them, and that is one of the main reasons I can't bring myself to part with them. I have even added a few more of the "vintage" plushies to the collection over the years, because I thought they were quite charming, or I found them in a thrift store and couldn't ignore them. My goal is to find a nice way to display them, providing I can find the space!

Blastoise Trading Card (Base Set)
I have a significant Pokémon Trading Card collection, but this one in particular means a great deal to me. I bought this Blastoise card from a Jesse, a Pokémon fan I met online and befriended in the early 2000s. We kept in touch for many years, and would often send things to one another. When we were kids, he sent over some trading cards to me, including this Blastoise. In 2020, I learned that Jesse had passed away a couple of years prior. We hadn't spoken for a long time, due to a falling out we had, and we never made up.
At the time of writing, there are people who are trying to turn as much profit out of their old cards as possible. This is one card that I can never put a price on.
